We’re used to seeing Crankdat go through both Welcome Records and Monstercat; now with “Mechanized Mayhem Vol.2” he returns to Disciple to leave his mark once again.

We have already seen that there are many artists who have their little hole when it comes to going through one of the most recognized bass labels. Crankdat already made it clear with the first EP of “Mechanized Mayhem” that he could perfectly be on the roster, and now with the second part, he ‘s more prepared than ever.

The first track on this new EP, “Oldskool”, is basically just what the name sounds like. Yes, it sounds like the “old school ” of dubstep, but we would be talking about the one that would be made between the years 2016-2018. A great mix between a small melody with a lead to break followed by a growl with echo, and so on in the phrases interspersed as a “question and answer”.

“Ground Pound” is one of the collaborations on the EP, along with CHRMNDRS, which we see slowly growing by leaps and bounds , and who knows if it’s capable of making a splash in 2022. Three minutes of the heaviest dubstep , a great collaboration where the base of very sonorous whips and the details like the small rises make it a very enjoyable song.

Finally, another collaboration, and this time, it’s about Ruvlo. They already worked together on Vol.1, and on “Lazers”, it’s another song that lives up to its name. Great success in the percussions, a very forceful sub and the main sound, of course, are lasers that raise the spirits of wanting to go to a good festival.

To be an EP of only 3 songs, it is lived as if it were a small album to enjoy it to the fullest.
